While there are always a lot of prey and predator action taking place, the Mara environment is always kept clean by all the Mara scavengers ranging from the African vultures, jackals, wild African dogs and wild cats as well. The spotted hyenas and the striped hyenas also benefit a lot during these dangerous hunts which many lions and leopards make. These dangerous powerful hyenas can always steal the lion’s food right under their nose. With a keen sense of smell, an instant lion kill can be sensed miles by these hyenas and with their calls; a great number of them can deter to chase lions from their kill as well. Wile at times, the king of the best while makings sure that the  lion pride is well protected, with the sheer numbers in a lions family, a hyena with its powerful teeth is no match to a lion or lioness trying to defend its meal.

The night life in Mara is a dangerous animal habitat and as peaceful at the same time as the days can be. With little visibility and thundering long rains drenching all animals of the Savannah big and small, all animals become vulnerable while out there. Hyenas with their large numbers always make a meal out of a lonely lion which is wondering alone in the Mara forest. Baby lion, leopard cuts and cheetah babies also fall victim of such difficult and dangerous conditions for these beautiful dangerous animals as well.
